Barely visible
the cat acting
like a tourist
out of season.
Breeze so soft
blow & rain shifts
the other way
out of season.
In the grass melan
choly whose happy
sound the birds
squirrels
coyotes laired
late in the park
talk in their sleep
out of season.
This too out
all up to snuff
toffee nosed
pretension
a pretend friend
bends to expose
truth its own pretense
out of season.
Brings round a song :)

Thanks, Ashen. I’d never heard the Springsteen/Roger McGuinn version.
“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.”
