Always wondered about the cars used in “The Untouchables”. Obviously buried with the series and shrunk to boot.
Elliot Ness would be horrified.

The root through the window is quite evocative and poetic, enhanced by the rust and dirt mix caked over the whole. Shrunk down a bit in size, it’s like an hors d’oeuvre, a tasty dessert treat if Cherry were riding shotgun: a truffle which may be popped into one’s mouth. Down the gullet and into the intestinal highway, winding its way into the backroads, and coming out the tunnel. Ocean spray.

I think that would ruin it. Too bad you can’t preserve it as is, spraying something on. I love the dirt and rust texture. What would be great is buying a fleet of toy cars and putting plant or flower seeds in the drivers’ seats, and planting them. Pulling out after some time, to see in what way the roots negotiated and made due, pushing through the windows. Rebirth out of burial. This might be done with various objects. Miniature bird cage, doll’s head, whatnot. Plant in the ground like putting in the oven.

The most common item I’ve found in the yard is marbles – the little glass balls kids played circle games with. And other toys. This auto melded into the ground was a surprise.

I found 2 marbles, lots of horse shoes, bits of pig iron, latches and window ironmongery. Plus old pennies and halfpennies – usually relating to the Great war and the Second WW…

What is that? Car buried?

Toy car, or model car, made of metal, I found buried in backyard. Very fragile, rusted, roots growing through car windows. About 8″ long, 3″ high.
