1. Dan Hennessy says:

    Writer’s block , Joe ?

    1. Joe Linker says:

“…abracadabra calubra culorum… Away with covered words…! You antiabecedarian? Alp! When a part so ptee does duty for the holos we soon grow to use of an allforabit.” Joyst being “abcedminded.” Allforablocked.

  2. Dan Hennessy says:

    I fear those big words
which make me so unhappy .

    1. Joe Linker says:

My bad. Shall double-down efforts to simplify. But you should be happily untied these days, “Jung and unafreud.”

But what are those “big words” he fears? “Joyous, generous, just…,” said by Mr. Deasy after he asks if Stephen knows the “proudest” word. That he’s paid his own way, which Stephen can’t say, nor ever would James. Indeed, who can say it? No writer pays their own way.

  3. “Jung and unafreud.”
Are you in some kind of mid life crisis?

    1. Joe Linker says:

No crisis possible in this astoneaged washing machine. Just Re-Joycing asquare. Flowering on fruitlessly. But Haveth Crocuses Everywhere soon mehopes for Spring! … By the by, on the photo site, link you sent earlier, what photos are yours? Under Marie?

  4. Spring, hurrah, there’s hope for all of us, ice receding. Just now a magnificent pink cloud mountain sails across my garden.
The photos are all mine, I had a different name then. The site seems to be mainly a dumping ground for snapshots, badly reproduced, with the occasional good image, a lovely one of Volker Schlondorff and Margarete von Trotta taken during the filming of Margarete’s ‘Strohfeuer’ in Bergamo. You may enjoy some of my later and more varied images. http://500px.com/ashen – which can be sampled divided into sets.

    1. Joe Linker says:

Thanks, Ashen! Will check out the photo sites. “A Free Woman.” I’ve not seen it. Will see if I can find it. Quite a few photos you have then on the first site. Who has the copyright? Is there a book? Can there be?
