The Coming of the Toads 
Spring, hurrah, there’s hope for all of us, ice receding. Just now a magnificent pink cloud mountain sails across my garden.
The photos are all mine, I had a different name then.The site seems to be mainly a dumping ground for snapshots, badly reproduced, with the occasional good image, a lovely one of Volker Schlondorff and Margarete von Trotta taken during the filming of Margarete’s ‘Strohfeuer’ in Bergamo. My bad. Shall double-down efforts to simplify. But you should be happily untied these days, “Jung and unafreud.”
But what are those “big words” he fears? “Joyous, generous, just…,” said by Mr. Deasy after he asks if Stephen knows the “proudest” word. That he’s paid his own way, which Stephen can’t say, nor ever would James. Indeed, who can say it? No writer pays their own way.
