      The online OxfordED says “snazzy” is from the 1960’s but unknown origin, but the online Etymology Dictionary says US colloquial, 1932, “perhaps a blend of snappy and jazzy”: http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?allowed_in_frame=0&search=snazzy&searchmode=none
      But they point to Dictionary.com, “1930-35, origin uncertain.”
